April 14: Kiev – Khar’kov (UA)

Sanitaire stop / Duty calls
Although we stayed in an luxury hotel, the Internet dated from the stone-ages, so our apologies for the late update.
Originally we applied for a Russian visa with double entry (Ukraine-Russia / Kazakhstan-Russia), but we received a visa with multiple entry which allows us to enter Russia for a third time coming from Mongolia. We believe Mongolia to be more interesting than Ukraine and therefore shortened our trip through the Ukraine.
Instead of going to Chernobyl and driving south to Odessa, be decided to save some days for our additional visit to Mongolia. So today we drove over the E40, through the pouring rain from Kiev to Charkov, not far from the Russian Border. Tomorrow we will cross the Russian border and hope to be in Kazakhstan by Monday saving in total 2 days. When we planned our trip we allowed for some spare days and some rest days, so we will comfortable squeeze in a trip through Mongolia.

Onderweg / On the road

Meer regen / More rain

Still a long way to go
