April 12: Krakow (PL) - Rivne (UA)

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, so Tuesday morning we parted ways. Our friends returned direction Czech Republic and we headed for the Ukraine border. A remarkable culture contrast. We believe the pictures of Neil Armstrong's first steps on the moon where taken in the Ukraine. The holes in the 'road' are impressive. Wide enough to fit your average family Lada. After one hour or so driving in the Ukraine, Carl had difficulties removing his helmet as his testicles were repositioned behind his ears.
This is a small taste of the remaining 17.000km ahead of us.

Goodbye Wim, Paul, Fred, Mark and Patrick
We drove almost until Rivne, were we staid the night in yet another, clean, comfortable and cheap hotel next to the E40. The only downside was that in the restaurant from the menu which had the size of the Yellow pages only 2 dices were available; chicken and chicken with fries. That was the end of our well deserved 4 course dinner. Tomorrow we will drive to Kiev where I'm looking forward to my 'chicken Kiev'.
